The closest large galaxy to the milky way makes a spectacular astrophotography target. It is nearly 2-3 time larger than the full moon in the sky. Therefore, our 800 mm telescope only captures part of the galaxy. The Sigma 150-600 mm can be used to take a wide field shot at 300 mm. One can also see the dwarf galaxies Messier 32 and Messier 110. This is a LRGB shot with the ZWO 1600 ASI Pro Mono cooled processed with Pixinsight.
