Another of Angel's rare antpittas. Apparently, the Moustashed Antpitta is not always seen when Angel gives his tour. In fact, the other birder on the tour with us located this guy. The other birder turned out to be Ken Kaufann the author of many field guides! Amazing that it only cost $10 to go on this tour and we saw some of the rarest species on the planet. A typical tour in US runs thousands of dollars and the species are not nearly as exotic. It just shows you how parts of Ecuador are still not that touristy yet. Although since 2006, all the major birding tours stop at Angel's farm and the word is out.
