We were lucky to see the endangered Hawaiian goose as we were driving on the new Saddle Road. I got nice closeup shots where you can see the Nene has less webbing on their feet to better walk on Lava. We also saw them on the Chain of Crater road in Volcano National Park among the lava next to the coast where we were told they are very rarely seen  (Click).
