A Breathtaking, thickset trogon found only in Borneo’s north-central mountains. We were able to see this bird thanks to the added trip to Mount Kinabalu National Park. They favor damp, well-shaded sections of montane forest, where individuals and pairs sit quietly at mid-levels. We had trouble finding one but our guide Liew had us wait on the ridge as he took the canyon trail. As he walked down the canyon trail, the trogon flushed up to us!
