Coral Gardens, Grand Caymans, Caribbean
To reach Coral Gardens one needs to take a boat from Grand Cayman. The Sting Ray City tours typically stop here as well since it is among the best remaining reef near Grand Cayman. This was the first place I saw forests of soft coral and hard coral including sea fans, brain coral, sea rods and sponges. Also a great diversity of fish including schools of tangs, chubs, parrotfish, along with the occasional ray, turtle and barracuda. This photo is a composite of the marine life I saw over the course of 30 minutes. The reef is comprised of three shots stiched together using photoshop. Photoshops stiching capability is very smart and was able to account for the soft coral moving from shot to shot.
