Indian Elephants are threatened and are becoming increasingly more difficult to see due to habitat destruction. However at Bandipur they are very easy in large herds (Lo-Res) (Hi-Res) . This young male was foraging among the flowers. Even though we visited in winter, many flowers were in bloom. Here is a matriarch whom we were able to get close to: (Click). We got to see this baby elephant with his mother (Click) (Click). We even saw the elephants taking sand baths (Click).
