Mountain Goat, Mount Evans, CO (8/23/2015)

I read that Mountain Goats are quite common at Mount Evans. I wound my way up and didn't see any. It turns out they were all at the summit right at the top of the mountain!

This one has lost most of last years fur and is looking nice!

Both males and females have beards and both fight. Here these two were going at it.

Lots of adorable babies with their mothers too.

Amazing to get such good looks. This fellow is just starting to get horns.

The babies were always near the adults.

Some of my favorite shots were in the fields of wildflowers. Here this guy has his black and red tongue sticking out.

One of my favorite shots is this one of mother and baby among the flowers.

Here Big Horn Sheep and Mountain Goats graze together! However, the Big Horn Sheep rams do not frequent the area.
